ITINERARY BY DAY
Explore Saigon By Scooter Half Day
Get ready for an unforgettable day out during this Saigon scooter tour. Climb on the back of a scooter and join the throngs of motorbikes on the roads. With an expert local driver and a guide, explore the city’s highlights as well as hidden corners and lanes rarely visited by tourists.
Riding behind your driver, head first to District 1, including Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, Reunification Palace, and the War Remnants Museum. Then move on to the memorial shrine dedicated to Master Thich Quang Duc. Nearby the shrine, visit the home of an admirable family that dug a secret bunker in their house to hide ammunition for suicide attacks on the Presidential Palace by Viet Cong during the Tet Offensive in 1968.
Please keep in mind that we do not go inside the Reunification Palace or visit the War Remnants Museum on this tour. Both of these attractions require a lot of time to fully appreciate so we recommend that you visit them on your own so that we can make the most of the time you have with us.
Then take a walk through the colorful Ho Thi Ky flower market before riding to the Funeral Home to get to know about Vietnamese funeral ceremonies and customs. Carry on to Chinatown to visit Nhi Phu temple, an unusual structure covered with bas-relief mosaics. After that head to District 8 to explore the low land with its many small stilt houses located along the canal. Continue to savor and explore this bustling city before returning to your starting point.
